New Zealand WNT player Hannah Wilkinson signs with MSV Duisburg
New Zealand WNT player Hannah Wilkinson has signed for the Bundesliga team MSV Duisburg. The team has had a tough start to the season and is very hopeful in their new striker to make a difference.
– I’m really excited to have this opportunity at MSV Duisburg. I’m looking forward to playing alongside high-quality players in one of the best leagues in the world. Germany is also an amazing place with a stunning culture. Overall, I’m incredibly grateful to be here. A new adventure, says Wilkinson.
She has played for Vittsjö and Djurgården in OBOS Damallsvenskan and has experience from the Portuguese league and played for Tennessee Volunteers in USA.
Along side of her football career, she also studies psychology at Harvard, plays music, illustrates and is an artist. Her big goals are to be a part of the Olympics this summer and of course Word Cup in her home country New Zealand in 2023.
– I’m very much looking forward to see Hannah play in the Bundesliga in her preparations for the Olympics. Duisburg wants to use Hannah to get the best of her qualities, as an attacker in the box, her deep runs and her way to use her body to protect the ball. I’m impressed by Hannah’s mentality and determination that always keep her moving towards her goals and objectives, says Lisa Ek, Client Manager at CMG.
