December is the last month of the year. It’s the Christmas month, but it’s also the month when top leagues as Damallsvenskan and Elitettan in Sweden, Toppserien in Norway, FA WSL in England have ended. It’s the month when Silly Season is very active and when most of the players are inactive. It’s busy days for clubs, general managers, players and at CMG we are working hard to please all our clients’ needs and the needs of the clubs.

Silly Season in Damallsvenskan

“CMG’s goal is to be open, transparent and honest and we hope that our clients, partners and clubs are pleased with the work that we are doing.”

What is the Silly Season?

According to Wikipedia this “refers to time periods outside of traditional season-long competitive sporting competitions. In team sports the final weeks of the season leading into off time between one season and the next is filled with speculation regarding possible changes involving players, staff, and teams. Regardless of whether the speculation remains just that or indeed bears fruit, the moves and the discussions they generate help build interest in the leagues, their teams, and their upcoming seasons.”

At CMG we’re keen of not making this a Silly Season, not for the players, nor for the clubs. This is an important period for our professional athletes who want to find the best possible environment where they can develop and enjoy the game, but also economically to find a good complete solution. The players and their demands are all different and its CMG’s task to advise them and help them make the best decision based on their needs and requirements. This is also an important period for all the clubs out there working, often with tight budgets, to create the most competitive team they can, with players that suit the club and the coaches vision for the team.

CMG’s goal is to be open, transparent and honest and we hope that our clients, partners and clubs are pleased with the work that we are doing.
